About Our Presenter
Mac McCandless is the Compost Coordinator at Keep Brevard Beautiful. His love for the world comes from the understanding that if you take care of your tools, your tools will take care of you. After growing up on his grandparent’s farm, he joined the Army and served in an arctic airborne unit in Afghanistan. Seeing the Afghan people after years of war, still surviving and even thriving despite the many challenges they face every day, solidified his vision to facilitate a better way of living for the world. After his military career, Mac moved to Florida with his wife and newborn baby. He joined the KBB team who challenged him to build a self-sustainable compost program that provided easy participation amongst the community. The West Melbourne compost facility is the first of many posts to be placed all over the country of Brevard.
MRC’s Lunch & Learn Webinar series is a long-standing and cherished social offered to the East Central Florida coast region, and is supported by volunteers and the community’s charitable giving. If interested and able, we ask participants to donate toward our guest speaker series. All donations are tax-deductible.
